It’s the first day of school in Bossier Parish, and excitement is everywhere — from rolling buses and ringing bells to a few four‑legged friends barking with joy! We’re kicking off the 2026‑27 school year at Stockwell Place Elementary, where the Stallions -- and a few fire academy recruits -- jumped in with full first‑day energy.
It was also a big milestone for our kindergarteners and Elm Grove Elementary Principal Rick Warren, a familiar face who's leading in a new place.

Our incredible young athletes are making major strides at the Special Olympics, and we've saved you a front-row seat in the cheering section. It's one of our favorite days of the year that's guaranteed to tug on your heartstrings, too.
